What is a Lift?

A lift can refer to any inclined ramp or machine which sole purpose is to raise a person to a different  ground level. In other words elevators are lifts and the ramps on the side of sidewalks are lifts as well. Lifts are generally built to help handicap people exit and enter certain areas. Of cours not all handicap people cannot walk properly the ramps are used by handicap people who cannot use their legs for some reason and have to use a wheelchair to get around instead. So it is always good to make it easy for disabled people to exit and enter certain areas. If you are opening a store of sorts you should remember to build ramps or elevators to allow people to manuever their wheelchairs into your store. It can be quite difficult for a handicap person to even get over a curb with a wheelchair so in order to make it easier for them you can install some lifts in convenient locations. If you do install ramps in the proper places chances are you will make some extra sells if you own a store. Of course it is also considerate to make it easy for disabled people to get around easily.
