If you own an office building that has more than one story, you may need to make an investment.  Those who frequent your building or who work it in will thank you if you invest in and install an elevator.  While the stairs work for the majority of the time, there are some cases where the stairs definitely aren’t the first choice and in some cases where they simply will not work at all.  In fact, if you have a public building you actually need to have an elevator to accommodate people with disabilities.

There are many different types of passenger lifts for you to consider.  There are vertical platform lift options, step lift, short rise lift, and more.  You really need to look at the area of your building where you believe an elevator will be most useful and then consider what you need the lift to be able to do and how far up it needs to go.  What you need will often dictate what your options are in terms of elevators.  If you aren’t sure, it’s always best to get a contractor to come out and look at your space to help you take measurements and determine which lift type will accommodate your needs best.
