Having lifts installed in your home

07 February 2011

You may be lucky enough to have a big home of many storeys or you may simply struggle with the stairs or have a disability that prevents you from using them, luckily a bigger, better and higher value range of lifts is available than ever.
Lifts don’t need to destroy your home or take up entire rooms as some people may think, nor will you be limited to a stair lift that gets in others way, is painfully slow and can only take one person: little use should you want to take anything up with you.

You may want a lift that you can use with a wheelchair as well either for now or in the future. Through the floor lifts are a great idea that use a trapdoor and take up very little room in your home, the lift itself only takes up space on one floor at any time and has a good capacity still to carry a person with a few other items.

You may consider a vertical platform lift that looks like an ordinary passenger lift and can take several people with or without wheelchairs with capacity for large items at the same time.

A full passenger lift may be an option if you don’t mind it taking up more space and have several floors you want it to cover, they are also great for doubling as a service lift which may be useful especially if your kitchen and dining room are on different floors.
