If you live in a home that has more than one story you may find that you avoid bringing groceries in or you avoid doing laundry as often as possible.  The reason for this is usually associated with how many times you have to go up and down the stairs to get things done.  While it doesn’t seem like it should be an issue, when you have to use the stairs all the time, it does become a burden.  A great way to alleviate some of the stress of going up and down stairs is to install a goods lift.

A goods lift may also be referred to as a dumb waiter.  A dumb waiter or goods lift is actually a small elevator that is not for a person to ride on, but to put goods on to have them carried from one floor to another for you.  This will allow you to easily transport groceries or laundry from one floor to the other.  While you will still have to go up and down the stairs, you won’t have to carry arm loads of heavy items with you.  If you want to be able to ride on the lift as well, you will find that there are plenty of options to choose from.
