Goods Lift

07 February 2011

Goods lifts may be essential for some businesses and even homes, warehouses and manufacturers dealing with heavy items particularly may use them. In other cases not having a lift or only a low capacity lift may be slowing you down with work, if people have to put small loads in a lift each time or have to carry items up and down flights of steps valuable time which you are paying for may be being wasted.

Installing a lift may also allow you to make better use of upper and mezzanine floors or if you have a single floor unit you may want to install a mezzanine floor along with a lift to increase your capacity without moving.

Modern Goods lifts can be freestanding shafts so no building work is needed but can still hold heavy loads up to 2000kg including pallet loads of goods. They can even be relocated either elsewhere around your premises or if you ever move elsewhere so is a good long-term investment.

If your not convinced try and do a time and motion study of how much time staff are wasting and how much it is costing you, goods lifts don’t need anyone inside them to be operated so one staff member can send a lift down to other staff down below while they get on with other work.
