Escalator vs Platform Lift

Nowadays there are several different popular machines which can transport people and objects to certain ground or floor levels. In other words there are many different machines which can get you to certain floor in a particular building. In this post you will learn about the key differences between a escalator and a platform lift; they are both machines. Lets start with a escalator; an escalator is a machine which creates "steps" which people can walk on or stand on. The steps are moving as well which will allow people to just wait to be transported up or down. Of course the machine runs at a slow pace in order to avoid injuries. The machine also takes up a relatively large space because it must be built on a incline in order to create the "steps". Escalators are in most malls and public buildings. A platform lift is basically a  type of elevator particularly designed for people with disabilities who need to use a wheelchair to get around. Platform lifts are also used to get people on and off of vehicles like buses for example. Portable platform lifts are quite convenient but they can also be quite expensive it mainly depends on the type and brand you purchase.
